Easy Tex-Mex Restaurant Style Salsa

You always see jars of salsa on the grocer’s shelves that say Restaurant Style Salsa, but they really aren’t very similar in consistency to the salsas you’ll find at your favorite Tex-Mex restaurants and they’re typically packed with high amounts of sodium. If you’re constantly looking for a recipe to help you create truly Tex-Mex Restaurant Style Salsa, look no further because you just found it. This simple recipe is low in sodium and the heat can be turned up or down by adjusting the amount of pepper you add.

Ingredients
  • 3 medium ripe tomatoes
  • 1 clove fresh garlic
  • ¼ cup green onions (just the white part)
  • 1 juice of lime
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro
  • ½ cup sliced jalapenos (more or less to adjust the heat)
  • 1 tbsp red pepper flakes (more or less to adjust the heat)
Instructions
  1. Quarter the tomatoes.
  2. Place all ingredients in your blender or food processor.
  3. Pulse to desired consistency.
