Restaurant-Style Taco Sauce

We try to eat healthy, but let’s face it, we all want to indulge on meals from our favorite fast food chains from time to time. We love heading out to our favorite Mexican joint for a tempting bean burrito and side of nachos, both smothered in their delicious red sauces. Actually, we feel that the sauce is what makes those meals taste so delicious! If you find yourself craving this amazing mild taco sauce, you can easily make it at home. Store it in the refrigerator to serve on your homemade Mexican meals.

A low-sodium sauce recipe!

This Copycat Taco Bell Mild Sauce tastes just like the real deal! As an added bonus, 2 tablespoons of this sauce – equivalent to one packet of Taco Bell Mild Sauce – has only 6mg of sodium where the restaurant packet has 190mg. If you’re watching your sodium intake and you don’t want to sacrifice on flavor, this is the taco sauce recipe for you!

Would this taste the same or work if I just used a low-sodium taco seasoning blend like Frontiers?

We're not familiar with that brand, but it would probably work. Mrs. Dash puts out a taco seasoning mix now that would work beautifully and it's quite inexpensive!

Would the apple cider vinegar work as well if I don't have the white vinegar on hand at the time?
