Whether you’re hosting a tailgating party or happy hour at home, this simple Instagram-Worthy Crudité Platter is sure to impress. An easy and affordable appetizer perfect for all of your entertaining needs.
An affordable crudité platter for entertaining!
Crudité platters are my absolute favorite party dish to make to please all different kinds of taste buds. You’re probably asking, what is crudité? Typically, it’s raw vegetables arranged on a large serving platter, with a dipping sauce, made to be shared with guests. I remember these platters as a child. We had these at every gathering and typical foods where celery sticks, bell peppers, carrots, cauliflower, tomatoes, and broccoli served with ranch dressing. There’s nothing wrong with that assortment, but you can get a little creative and up the health factor a little by swapping out the ranch dressing with hummus, guacamole, and salsa. Most importantly though, the presentation is everything! It’s amazing how you can arrange and display beautiful, fresh vegetables, nutrient-dense crackers, and dips to encourage healthy habits like eating more veggies and getting excited about whole foods.
How to assemble an Instagram-Worthy Crudité Platter!
Let’s talk about how to put together a beautiful platter! The first thing I like to do is pick out my favorite fresh veggies that are in season. For this platter, I used bell peppers, radishes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, sugar snap pea pods (my absolute favorite), carrots sticks, and jicama sticks. Next, I like to include a cracker or chip to dip in the salsa and guacamole. My go-to brands for a delicious, gluten-free cracker are Simple Mills and Mary’s Gone Crackers.
What are your favorite tailgating party dips?
Next, I think of a few different dips that I can pair with the veggies and crackers. Hummus is always a staple, for both veggies and crackers. There are so many delicious flavors that can really take the yum factor to the next level! I personally love Hope Hummus or Holy Land. You also can’t go wrong with homemade guacamole. There’s nothing quite like it, right? It’s so simple to make at home and tastes way better than store bought! Lastly, I like to include salsa for a different texture and something a little sweeter. Salsa isn’t just for chips either! It’s excellent with veggies as well.
Now here’s the fun part – arranging it all on a platter and making it look pretty and easy to access! Let your creative juices flow and don’t stress about it looking perfect. I prefer the more relaxed look of everything flowing from one thing to the next instead of dividing things up into little dishes.
That’s it! Making a yummy crudité platter is super simple and all about those ingredients. Have fun with it, be creative, and enjoy! It’s easy, fast, healthy, flavorful, fresh, portable, and delicious. You don’t even need to save this for a special occasion. I even whip this up for an afternoon snack once in awhile!
