Outdoor grilling season is here and it’s time to make these easy Grilled Honey Chili Chicken Burgers. Perfect for meal prep for the week, these sweet and spicy burgers are great for entertaining or a weeknight meal. Serve on buns or in a salad!
When I moved from my old house into a condo, I had no idea I would miss my deck so much! That deck was falling apart – with so many rotted out planks. But, it was on that deck that all the grilling happened!
Grilled Honey Chili Chicken Burgers
When I moved to my condo, I sold my grill. But, then managed to turn my condo balcony into a cozy little spot that just happens to be able to accommodate a little grill and now I can get back to outdoor grilling again. Speaking of grilling, these Honey Chili Chicken Burgers are so easy to make. You just throw together honey, chili powder, some cayenne powder (if you like it super hot and spicy), some smoked paprika, dried parsley, salt, and pepper into some ground chicken, mix it all up, and then add in some almond meal to absorb any extra liquid. If you don’t want to use almond meal and are not too particular about being gluten free, you can easily sub in some breadcrumbs instead.
What are you looking most forward to grilling this year?
As these burgers were grilling, I brushed them with a honey, chili powder, and chili flake mixture. In spite of all the chili added in, these burgers are not too spicy as the honey nicely neutralizes the heat of the chili and cayenne. I enjoyed a couple of these burgers along with a salad and my daughter grabbed a couple of buns and tucked these burgers into them along with some lettuce, caramelized onions, sriracha, and tomatoes. These burgers are so flavor packed, it is hard to eat just one. With summer and grilling season around the corner, these burgers make for some delicious eating whether it be for entertaining guests or for an easy weeknight meal.

Home Chef Tip: If you don't have access to an outdoor grill, then you can use a grilling pan on your stovetop and "grill" up these burgers indoors as well!
