Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 1 minute

Total Time: 6 minutes

Serving Size: 1/2 cup

Dark Chocolate Dipped Fresh Fruit

Ingredients

  • 6 ounce package of raspberries, washed
  • 6 ounce package of blackberries, washed
  • 16 ounce package of strawberries, washed with leaves cut off
  • 1 apple (Fuji or preferred variety), cut, cored, and peeled
  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 10-oz bag dark chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

  1. Wash and prepare your fruit. Dry well.
  2. Line 1 baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.
  3. Melt dark chocolate at 30 second intervals (about 3 times, depending on the strength of your microwave) in the microwave in a heat safe and microwave safe bowl, stirring in between each interval.
  4. Using a fork, dip the fruit and place on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Allow the chocolate to solidify at room temperature or to speed things up, transfer to the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes. Serve individually or on wooden skewers. Enjoy!

Notes

Home Chef Tip: To speed up getting the chocolate solid after dipping, you can refrigerate the dipped fruit for 10-15 minutes. Also, If you are using apples and bananas make sure to consume right away as they do brown quickly. Fruit like blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries can be prepared the day before.

Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to the whole thing. Do you have any points for first-time blog writers? I'd certainly appreciate it.
