This Blood Orange Champagne Cocktail is a 4-ingredient seasonal drink that’s perfect for easy entertaining. If you’re hosting a holiday celebration, this festive winter cocktail needs to be on your happy hour menu!
Introducing your new favorite champagne cocktail!
I live for holiday flavors. At the start of fall, while everyone else is obsessing over pumpkin spice, I’m patiently waiting for my wintery peppermint, apple, eggnog, chai and, of course, blood orange. While you might not always think of it as your go-to holiday flavor, blood oranges come into season in December, making them a perfect addition to holiday parties, especially in the form of a blood orange cocktail! Paired with fresh rosemary and a splash of orange liqueur, blood orange juice and champagne come together to make my favorite festive Blood Orange Champagne Cocktail!
Celebrate holiday happy hour with champagne!
Champagne is for celebrating, and what better time to celebrate than the holiday season?! So far in my life, I have yet to meet anyone who doesn’t like champagne, so I find that it’s the perfect beverage for every party. As much as I love champagne on its own, a little splash of flavor – like blood orange juice – really takes it up a notch.
December is the very beginning of blood orange season, so you should be able to find them in stores now, but if you can’t, have no fear! You can swap out the juice for a blood orange flavored soda to achieve the same flavors. Personally, I’ve discovered a blood orange Italian soda at Whole Foods that I enjoy, but you can probably find the same flavor at any specialty grocery store. Since the sodas are generally sweetened, it also makes the drink a tad sweeter (not that it’s necessary).
My favorite way to serve this festive blood orange champagne cocktail is with a sprig of fresh rosemary. Can I add rosemary to everything? I just love it, especially with a cocktail! Make a batch of these drinks and you’re sure to keep guests happy at your next holiday party!

Notes
Home Chef Tip: If you can't find blood oranges yet, try using a blood orange soda! It has all of flavors and adds a little extra sweetness.
