Do you know that feeling you get when you run out of groceries only to suddenly realize you have all the ingredients on hand to make a favorite dish? It’s a superb feeling! That’s what keeps me coming back to this recipe.
When I am searching for something to cook at the last minute, I can get excited about this delicious recipe every time. I always have the ingredients on hand, and it takes less than 22 minutes to prepare. We should all have a few recipes like this for those busy days.
This dish is also perfect for serving large crowds of people!
Let me tell you three things I love about chicken thighs: they are healthy, affordable, and have lots of good fats. They also contain niacin, vitamin B12, and antioxidants. I feel great feeding these to my family and friends.
This marinade of soy, garlic cloves, sesame oil, and sesame seeds gives a depth of flavor to this recipe. It only requires that you marinate the chicken for one hour, and it still turns out full of flavor. Of course, you can marinate it longer if you like. I suggest up to 12 hours.
Grilled Soy Garlic Chicken Thighs with Sesame Seeds
Hosting large groups of people is our “thing”. For our Memorial Day barbecue last year we made two dozen juicy, flavorful Grilled Soy Garlic Chicken Thighs for the crowd. Accompanied by spicy ribs, potato salad, corn, and a chopped salad, these were a hit. The chicken flew off the platter and was gone in a matter of an hour.
It’s so much fun when I see the platter is completely empty. There were only a few sesame seeds and chives left on the plate. Anyone can tell you they love your recipe. When the platter is empty, you know for sure!
This recipe is a staple in our home because it is fast, flavorful, and the ingredients are always in stock. All you need to do is marinate, grill, and enjoy!

Notes
Home Chef Tip: Buy chicken thighs in bulk and freeze what you don’t cook right away. When dinner guests show up unexpectedly, you have an easy recipe to make for a large crowd.
