Spinach Pineapple Ginger Smoothie Recipe
Not all of my favorite drinks are boozy like this Cucumber Collins Cocktail! I went through a two week sugar detox earlier this year and it was a real eye opener about my daily health choices. Since then, I’ve been looking for healthier ways to start my day or indulge in a better-for-you afternoon snack. Lunch has been a big focus for me as well. A vegetable-based treat like this Spinach Pineapple Ginger Smoothie is great for days when I need a healthy lunch on the go!
The foundation of this refreshing green smoothie is spinach which has properties that can help a variety of health concerns. Not only is it good for you, but it’s also really tasty! I like to pair spinach with other vegetables like carrots in this case. Celery, cucumbers, or zucchini are also great additions.
Frozen bananas, apples, and fresh ginger compliment the pineapple juice in this Spinach Pineapple Ginger Smoothie recipe. It is a delicious balance of sweetness with a hint of pungent spiciness from the grated ginger which also has numerous health benefits. I like to add a healthy dose of plain protein powder to really amp up the heartiness of this recipe too. It really helps to fill you up on days when you are super busy and need a nutritious meal on the go!
