How does quinoa cook so fast in the Instant Pot?
Coming to the recipe, this easy kitchen hack can be used to simplify meal prep for the week. You need only three ingredients to make this; quinoa, water, and salt. If you would like to use the grains for desserts or sweet breakfasts, skip the salt. I like to add some crushed pepper and lime juice while making the quinoa to add more flavor, but that’s optional and doesn’t affect the recipe.
With all this information, you need to head straight to the recipe and make a batch yourself. Do not forget to freeze the leftovers and use them as you like throughout the week in all of your breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipes.
- 1 cup Quinoa
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 cup Water
- Wash the quinoa in running water until the water runs clear.
- Place the drained quinoa in the base of the Instant Pot.
- Add salt and water, mix well.
- Set the mode of the Instant Pot to 'Pressure Cook', pressure level to 'HIGH', and time to 1 minute.
- Close the lid and set the vent to 'Sealing'.
- Let the quinoa cook until the timer goes to zero.
- Let the pressure release naturally and open the lid.
- Fluff the quinoa with a fork and use it as required.
