Don’t let the wine lovers have all the fun during happy hour! Beer lovers will rejoice over this fresh and fruity farmers market Spicy Beer Sangria recipe. This summer cocktail is the perfect balance between fresh squeezed and slightly fizzy.
Sangria isn’t just for wine lovers anymore!
Sometimes it feels as if it is impossible to make everyone happy, especially when you are entertaining! Don’t play bartender at your next warm-weather get together. Instead make a batch of this Spicy Beer Sangria recipe made with light beer, sweet white wine, and fresh citrus fruit like blood oranges. Jalapeño slices add just the right amount of kick while a beer topper keeps things appropriately fizzy!
I am all about easy entertaining recipes. Sangrias and easy recipes like my Cranberry Tangerine Sparkling Punch are great for parties because guests are able to serve themselves! I like to make the base of this Spicy Beer Sangria the night before. That gives all the fresh citrus fruit and jalapeño slices time to really infuse the wine. Then serve it next to a cooler full of Pilsner-style beer. My favorite part is some people will drink the sangria solo. Others might just grab a beer. My most adventurous friends will take the plunge though and top their sangria with beer!
We like to pair this Spicy Beer Sangria with everything from tacos to classic burgers on the grill, or even a simple fish dish. The flavors are light and refreshing, with a kick of course. It really is the best of ALL worlds!

Notes
Home Chef Tip: Use other seasonal fruit such as cherries or melons in addition to citrus fruit. Seasonal fruit-based beers are also a great way to add additional flavor.
