A No-Bake, Guilt-Free Mini Dessert!
Summer’s fast approaching, and that usually forces me to stop indulging on sugar-laden desserts that aren’t kind to my waistline. That’s why I like to whip up guilt-free, portion-controlled mini desserts like these No-Bake Chocolate Crunch Cups. Not only do they take a mere fifteen minutes to whip up, in moderation, these small bites satiate my need for chocolate without indulging in sugar. Win-win situation, folks. Yay, for healthier sweet choices. My mantra now is, “One cup a day keeps the sugar crash away!”.
I’m not going to lie, they can get quite addictive, so I’ve made it a point to make exactly 14 for two weeks so that I can eat two a day without all of the guilt of a classic dessert!
Another great part of this no-bake dessert is that it’s highly customizable. You can find an unlimited range of flavors to put in these cups. To change things up, you can try putting fresh blueberries or peanut butter in the cups. My second favorite (first favorite being Rice Krispies) is Coconut Raspberry Dark Chocolate Cups. You need to try those too!
Other Flavor Options (instead of Rice Krispies):
- Dried cranberries
- Almond butter
- Fresh cherries
- Toasted, honeyed walnuts
All you need are four ingredients, some mini muffin liners, and a working fridge or freezer. This is definitely a recipe that I could have used in the college dorms (most of my friends only had a mini fridge in their rooms)! This mini dessert recipe is great to share with friends who have specific dietary restrictions because it’s dairy free and vegan. If you use one of the other ideas in lieu of Rice Krispies, they could potentially be gluten-free.
No time like the present to switch out the sugary cookies and chocolate bars for this great substitute.
Ingredients Instructions Notes Home Chef Tip: If you can't find pure maple syrup, agave nectar or honey are great substitutions.
