Your next cocktail party is sure to be a hit with friends when you create a sweet and salty masterpiece with the help of these Dessert Charcuterie Board Ideas.
Putting together a cheese and charcuterie (a fancy-schmancy way of saying meats) board is one of my favorite ways to entertain a crowd. A smaller version is fun for a little nibble or two just for myself! If you are looking for something on the sweet side though, how about creating a spread with a Dessert Charcuterie Board instead? With an assortment of pretzels, nuts, chocolates, and fruits, it is an easy yet fabulous way to provide a fun alternative to traditional desserts.

Notes
Home Chef Tip: Prepare items such as chocolate dipped bacon and sliced fruit ahead of time. Keep extra items in the refrigerator and refill platter as needed.

On a large cutting board or platter, add a handful of each ingredient and have fun with placement! There’s no right or wrong way; I grouped mine by food groups (cheese, fruit, chocolate) but you can do it anyway you like.
You know what is the perfect mix of salty and sweet? Chocolate dipped bacon! I cut bacon strips in half and cooked them until they were nice and crispy. Once they cooled completely, I dipped the bacon halves into melted chocolate. Place the dipped bacon on waxed paper and let cool in the fridge for about five minutes.
Don’t forget the drinks either! Champagne, sparkling dessert wines, or flavored waters make a great pairing! I love a good Moscato and kicking back with a glass plus a tray of sweets with friends. Be sure and check out my wine and cheese party ideas for more entertaining inspiration.
