These Strawberry Glazed Cadbury Biscuits have a delicious chocolate and cream filling with a homemade strawberry glaze on top. If you want a little crunch, add some crushed malted eggs on top of the glazed covered biscuits. This gives the recipe a hint of color and your guests will be ooh’ing and ahh’ing over this spring dessert before they even take a bite and discover the surprise cream filling!

The strawberry glaze is so delicious with the chocolate cream eggs. For me, strawberry and chocolate just go hand in hand. If you don’t like strawberry, you can always whip up a quick and easy white sugar glaze instead!

6-Ingredient Strawberry Glazed Cadbury Biscuits

This recipe has minimal ingredients and is so easy to prepare! All you need to do is cut each biscuit in half and wrap it around a Cadbury egg and toss it in the oven. It doesn’t get any easier than that!

How to Make the Homemade Strawberry Glaze

The strawberry glaze is made from scratch, but only requires fresh strawberries, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar. You do need a blender or food processor to blend it to a smooth consistency.

The biscuits are topped with crushed malted eggs, but you could also top them with spring colored sprinkles if you prefer.

The chocolate surprise in these biscuits is the best part! Cadbury Eggs have always been my favorite Easter treat and they are even better in these biscuits. These biscuits are kind of a fancy and chocolatey take on hot cross buns, in my opinion. Plus, there is such a variety in chocolate eggs in the Easter aisle, you could use the all chocolate eggs, the turtle variety, or any of your other favorites. The possibilities are endless!

These biscuits keep for a few days if you cover them. They are best served warm, so I usually pop them in the microwave for 18 seconds to reheat them before serving.

Cook Time: 13 minutes

Serving Size: 8 Biscuits

Strawberry Glazed Cadbury Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 tube biscuit dough
  • 8 Cadbury Creme Eggs
  • Crushed malted eggs, optional for garnish
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1.5 cup strawberries, diced
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a cookie sheet.
  2. Take half a biscuit and cover the Cadbury Egg with it. Lay seam side down on the greased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake until biscuits are golden on top, around 10-13 minutes.
  4. To make the glaze, mix 1 cup diced strawberries with 2 tablespoons granulated sugar.
  5. Blend the strawberries (mixed with the sugar) in a blender until smooth.
  6. Add 2-3 tablespoons of this strawberry mixture to the powdered sugar and mix well.
  7. Once biscuits have cooled, add the strawberry glaze on top and sprinkled crushed malted eggs on top for a sweet garnish.

Notes

Home Chef Tip: If the strawberry glaze is too runny, add more powdered sugar to it. Or, if the strawberry glaze is too thick, add more of the strawberry mixture to it.
