I love that more and more people are cooking at home. The internet literally has millions of recipes to try out. My only real issue is that while anyone can follow a recipe, things have gotten out of hand with the ‘creativity’! I’m a self-taught home chef so in the beginning I searched out simple recipes like this basic 4-Ingredient Quiche recipe. My goal was to learn foundational recipes I could adapt and build on.

Making a classic quiche is easier than you think!

This basic 4-Ingredient Quiche recipe is easy to make with common ingredients like eggs, milk, and cheese. If you are more experienced and have the time, jump in and make a homemade pie crust like the one used in this Homemade Apple Pie recipe. Personally dough intimidates me which means I feel no qualms about using a quality store-bought crust. They are consistent and reliable.

A foundational recipe every home chef needs!

Once you master this quiche recipe, the sky is the limit! Then the fun is adding in all kinds of delicious ingredients like meats, vegetables, and herbs. Don’t be afraid to get creative with the filling either. Adding sour cream, Greek yogurt, or crème fraîche – a creamy French cultured cream – gives the custard in this 4-Ingredient Quiche a little zip! Honestly, it usually depends on what’s in my refrigerator at the moment!
