These 2-ingredient, 10-Minute Cinnamon Roll Waffles are a busy mom’s best kitchen hack. This budget-friendly breakfast is a kid-approved meal that makes the long wait for cinnamon rolls a thing of the past.
The morning routine in our home feels chaotic most days as we’re usually rushing to get everyone out the door on time. With breakfast being the first opportunity of the day to have our family sitting together for a meal, I seek out options we all enjoy, but won’t take long to prepare. The dreaded, “Mom, can you make cinnamon rolls?” is no longer a request I cringe at on our busiest mornings because of this 10-Minute Cinnamon Roll Waffles Breakfast Hack.
Prepared cinnamon roll dough takes 13-17 minutes to bake after you’ve preheated the oven, but our cinnamon roll waffles take just 10 minutes from start to finish. My daughters ask for cinnamon rolls frequently, but without this hack, I simply don’t have the time to prepare their favorite breakfast on a quick request. This creative presentation makes this a 2-ingredient breakfast that’s great for sleepover mornings too.
10-Minute Cinnamon Roll Waffles ingredients:
- Canned cinnamon roll dough
- Non-stick spray
You also need a waffle iron and a rolling pin.
Open the canned cinnamon roll dough and place two rolls together. Use the rolling pin to roll flat. We add a little fun to our breakfast by shaping the cinnamon rolls into hearts, but that’s optional.
Preheat the waffle iron, then spray it with non-stick cooking spray. Place the flat cinnamon roll onto the open waffle iron. Close and cook until waffle iron indicator suggests cinnamon roll waffle is cooked.
Carefully remove from waffle iron and drizzle with the warm cream cheese frosting that comes in the cinnamon roll can.
Serve with fresh fruit and enjoy at a family breakfast you prepared in less time than it takes to preheat your oven.
