Corn on the cob is a summertime favorite and just perfect for a weekend get together! Naturally sweet and filled with nutrition, corn is also a simple and healthy way to pack more produce into any meal. I grew up eating corn covered in butter or margarine. As I started eating healthier years ago, I learned to embrace new ways to flavor it like this Grilled Maple Lime Corn on the Cob recipe which has been a favorite dish of mine for some time, whether for an outdoor cookout or indoor dining any time of the year!
Grilling is one of my favorite ways to enjoy corn on the cob, and it’s also one of the best ways to bring out the natural sweetness in corn to give it a truly special touch. Grilling almost caramelizes the sugars in corn so it adds a nice depth of flavor you won’t get from baking or boiling it. After the corn grills for a few minutes, it’s just a matter of seasoning the corn with a few simple ingredients. I love to use unique ingredients to add to my corn on the cob recipes. For this Grilled Maple Lime Corn on the Cob recipe, I chose natural sweetness from pure maple syrup accented with a touch of citrusy, fresh lime juice which creates the most amazing flavor combination!
