Touchdown Chili Cheese Dip for your Tailgate Party
There is no doubt that this Touchdown Chili Cheese Dip will be in our starting line up all season. Here are some tips on how to make this work for your next party:
- Homegating: Bake this recipe up in a skillet like we did. Using cast iron helps keep the dip warm longer. Or, make up a double batch in your favorite 8×12 baking dish. Trust me, you will want a double batch.
- Tailgating: Make this in a disposable aluminum pan. Pop the dip in the oven the morning of the big game. Pack the veggies in zip plastic bags and toss them in the cooler. Sprinkle the toppings on right before serving.
- Road Trip: Have a long distance to travel? Assemble the layers of beans, salsa, cream cheese, chili, and cheddar. Cover with foil and pack it in the cooler. At the game, heat over a hot grill, checking it frequently to make sure it doesn’t burn. When warm, top with your stashed veggies and eat it up.
