It’s the most wonderful time of the year…Halloween! Forget winter. Fall is where all the fun outdoor activities, food, and yummy treats happen! To create a Spooky Sangria for your Halloween party, try mixing up this simple recipe. You don’t have to throw a Halloween party with elaborate preparation. Use a few simple ingredients to make a delicious and simple sangria! This Halloween-inspired cocktail is perfect for sharing and serving.
Spooky Sangria: A Halloween-Inspired Cocktail
To get started, gather a few ingredients. You’re going to need red wine, your favorite fizzy lemon-lime soda, fresh fruit, and eyeballs for garnish. Everyone has their favorite way of making sangria, but I like to start with a good, fruity red wine. I like pinot noir or perhaps a red blend. If you’re short on time, you can start with a premixed bottle of sangria! Follow the instructions below, but you won’t need extra sugar or fruit unless you want it.
I combine fruits like lemons, limes, apples, and even oranges along with sugar and Triple Sec in a large pitcher. After the flavors come together, just stir and serve!
Halloween-Inspired Spooky Sangria
Depending on your Halloween party set up, you can create a sangria bar with fresh fruits and mixers for easy serving. You can offer chilled red wine and guests can opt to add their own lemon-lime soda if desired, or just opt for Triple Sec. Just don’t forget the eyeballs! Look for candy eyeballs in the seasonal section of your favorite grocery store. I spotted gum balls designed like eyeballs and even ice cubes shaped like eyeballs!
Ingredients
- 1 Bottle of fruity red wine like Pinot Noir
- 1 Lemon
- 1 Lime
- 3 Oranges
- 3 Apples
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Cups lemon-lime soda
- 1/4 of a bottle of Triple Sec
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher.
- Stir to combine. Place in the refrigerator to let the flavors come together and cool off too!
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Home Chef Tip: Skip the mixing and opt for a bottle of pre-mixed sangria like Yago Sangria. Then just add lemon-lime soda and fruit for a fast cocktail!

Not a red wine fan? Try this with a white wine like Moscato. The recipe stays the same, but offers a different flavor twist. When I make white wine sangria, I swap the oranges and lemons for strawberries and apples.
