3 Seasonal Cocktails to Make at Home

We all know enjoying craft cocktails at your favorite bar can get expensive. This week for happy hour impress friends with three Seasonal Cocktails perfect to Make at Home and practice your bartending skills at the same time!

1. Blood Orange Negroni

Friends will be begging to learn from your bartending skills after they taste this Blood Orange Negroni. To make this easy drink you need one ounce gin, one ounce Campari, one ounce sweet vermouth, one ounce freshly squeezed blood orange juice (save peel for garnish) or blood orange soda, and two dashes blood orange bitters.

Simply add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Shake well, strain into an ice filled glass, and garnish with citrus peel.

2. Cherry Bourbon Smash Cocktail

This week’s happy hour at home begs you to make this seasonal Cherry Bourbon Smash Cocktail recipe. All you need is a handful of fresh cherries (chopped and pitted), one to two tablespoons cane sugar, sparkling water, two ounces bourbon, and whole cherries for garnish.

Just add chopped cherries, cane sugar, and a splash of sparkling water to a cocktail shaker. Muddle to release juices. Add bourbon and shake to combine. Pour into ice filled glasses and garnish with fresh cherries.

3. Smoky Maple Margarita

This slightly sweet Smoky Maple Margarita is a foodies dream to make at home. The star of this cocktail is the smoky maple simple syrup made with 1/4 cup each maple syrup and water, 1/2 teaspoon bittersweet smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt. Add all the ingredients to a small sauce pan, simmer until combined, and cool completely.

Create the salt rim by smearing syrup around glass edges. Dip in a mixture of one tablespoon smoked or flaky sea salt, one tablespoon raw sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon bittersweet smoked paprika. After that mix together in a cocktail shaker 1 1/2 cups orange juice (preferably freshly squeezed), the juice of two limes, three shots blanco tequila, and 1/4 cup smoky maple simple syrup. Adjust the amount of syrup for your personal taste and enjoy inviting seasonal cocktails.
