Sea Salt Rose Chocolate Bark Recipe
This chocolate bark looks impressive even though it is so easy to make! Using two types of chocolate and dried rose petals really ups the sophistication factor on this Sea Salt Rose Chocolate Bark. I used a variety of vegan chocolate, since I’m dairy-free, but you can use any chocolate you like for this recipe.
If there’s one thing not to miss with this bark – it’s the sea salt. You’ll love the extra flavor that the sea salt adds to the chocolate; it truly brings out the flavor and makes the bark taste richer. You can find dried rose petals at specialty grocery stores or on Amazon. Freeze dried strawberries or raspberries would also make a good topping option if you can’t find dried rose petals.
I love creating recipes that are simple, yet super tasty and beautiful too. Ones that aren’t super stressful and that you can make ahead, leaving more time to spend with your mom! Especially ones that also make amazing edible gifts when placed in a cookie tin and wrapped up with some twine or ribbon. Those are the recipes I love! This Sea Salt Rose Chocolate Bark is definitely one of those recipes. Ready in under 30 minutes, you’ll love this recipe!
Ingredients
- 2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 tsp rosewater (optional)
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp edible dried rose petals
- 1/4 tsp coarse sea salt
Instructions
- Melt white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between to ensure the chocolate does not burn (mine took about 2 1/2 minutes). Set aside.
- Melt dark chocolate chips in a second microwave safe bowl in the microwave at 30 second increments, stirring in between (mine took about 2 minutes).
- Stir in 1/4 tsp of rosewater, if using. The rosewater will make the chocolate start to seize up so quickly pour chocolate on the baking sheet and spread with a spatula or knife into a large rectangle.
- Pour white chocolate over the dark chocolate.
- Take a knife and lightly swirl the chocolate so that some of the dark chocolate shows through.
- Sprinkle the rose petals and sea salt over the white chocolate.
- Allow to set in the refrigerator for at least an hour or in the freezer for 20 minutes for a quicker bark.
- Break apart once completely hardened.
Notes
Home Chef Tip: Substitute vegan chocolate depending on your dietary needs.
