It’s espresso, it’s a cocktail, and it’s exactly what you need for entertaining at your Sunday Brunch! This Salted Caramel Espresso Martini is sure to impress guests for any occasion.
Did someone say cocktails? Normally I’m a wine drinker, but every other month I get to test out a fun new cocktail during our girls’ night in. This month with our schedules being so busy, my friends and I decided to deviate from our normal girls’ night in and instead opted to do a Sunday brunch. Luckily, my friends all think like me so when the question, “Are we still going to do alcohol?” came up, even though brunch was at 10 am, we all had the same response…”Of course!”.
Sunday Brunch Salted Caramel Espresso Martini
Since it was 10 am, I wanted to pick a drink that had a bit of a morning feel. I had my mind set on doing a coffee infused drink. I ran across a recipe for an Espresso Martini during the holidays and knew if I added my own twist to it, it would be perfect. Being the Starbucks lover that I am, I decided to shake things up a bit (pun intended) and add a little caramel for my take on a salted caramel espresso.
Not only was this coffee cocktail a total hit, it was really easy to make and I got major brownie points for not being afraid to serve a stiff drink at 10 am.
Although I served this as a brunch cocktail, you could totally serve it up at just about any occasion. It would go great after dinner with dessert (or as dessert), or on a Saturday afternoon while relaxing with a good book.
Tips for Making the Perfect Brunch Cocktail!
The key to making this brunch cocktail is making sure to add just enough caramel to the glass and rim to give it a bit of sweetness to offset the espresso flavor, unless of course you just really love the taste of espresso. If you’re not a fan of caramel, you could swap out the caramel for a mocha or white chocolate sauce and it would taste just as amazing.
It’s really hard to mess this drink up so don’t be afraid to get creative. The one thing I do highly suggest is using a good quality vodka. I was gifted with a Grey Goose Vodka gift set this holiday season, so that’s what I used. You could also use Sky Vodka or any other top-shelf vodka.
If you’re a coffee lover and not afraid to have a little fun at 10 am, this is the brunch cocktail for you! It’s the perfect mix of salty and sweet and I promise, after this, you’ll never brunch the same again.

Notes
Home Chef Tip: If you aren't a fan of caramel, you can use dark chocolate or white chocolate sauce in its place.
