When it comes to easy-to-prepare seafood recipes, one particular fish that I always turn to is Sea Bass. Buttery and flaky, this delicate, white fish has a mild and subtle flavor making it perfect for so many dishes.

That being said, a few years ago, I wasn’t a fan of Sea Bass. I didn’t know how to properly cook it, therefore I always preferred buying salmon. It wasn’t until I started experimenting with different seasonings that I discovered that by using simple ingredients, I can jazz up any recipe, even the most difficult ones.

Sea Bass is quite a unique fish. It’s melt-in-your mouth delightful taste is incomparable to any other white fish. To me, Sea Bass resembles a comfort fish. It has a buttery texture and rich flavor which comes just in time for colder weather when everyone craves comfort food.

Slightly acidic capers and brown butter enhance the flavor of the fish even more making it a delicious and quick restaurant-style meal made at home. This recipe pairs well with vegetable salads or roasted vegetables. Try roasting asparagus for an additional portion of healthy benefits. Just sprinkle asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper and roast at 400ºF for 15 minutes.
