The Master Cleanse Diet, or Lemonade Diet, is a liquid-only fast designed for quick weight loss. The master cleanse ingredients are water, maple syrup, lemon, and cayenne pepper. This detox drink cleans years of toxins from your digestive tract.

Looking for a quick weight loss solution?

The claim is simple for the Lemonade Diet, aka the Master Cleanse Diet. Give this detox drink 10 days and you’ll drop unwanted pounds, detox your digestive system, and feel energetic, happy, and healthy. You’ll even curb cravings for unhealthy foods.

What are the benefits of this liquid-only fast?

With a mixture of lemon juice, water, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup, this drink is meant to jump start your metabolism and give you enough calories and carbohydrates to get you through the day. Cayenne pepper is a metabolic booster, while maple syrup is an unprocessed, natural sugar which provides your body with energy. Because lemons contain antioxidants, they help to flush toxins out of your system.

What will the Master Cleanse Diet do for my body?

  • Cleanse the kidneys and the digestive system.
  • Dissolve and eliminate toxins and congestion that have formed in any part of the body over the years.
  • Cleanse the kidneys and digestive system.

Follow this diet plan for 10 days, drinking 6-12 cups per day, for maximum benefits. During the cleansing period, no other food is allowed. The master cleanse ingredients in the lemonade are enough to get you through the day. Just drink regular, filtered water in between to help fill you up if you need it.

Although I don't know if I personally could sustain this cleanse for too long, I have a close friend and coworker who does it several times a year and she swears by it! It definitely works well for some people!

You're correct in that all weight loss drinks/foods/diet plans don't work for everyone! Thanks for the testimony from your friend. We're sure others will be glad to see that if they are looking to try this for themselves.

I totally disagree with that ‘you can just go back to a healthy lifestyle’ your digestive will go crazy if you do that!.. meaning very painful cramping. There’s a very specific way you ship break the fast, this includes orange juice, broth, fruit over at least 3/4 days

Unfortunately it states in other stories to not go back to eating regular food like you did before. You have to eat liquids and then gradually to soft whole foods. The first 4 days are like orange juice and vegetable broth. Your body would be in a lot of pain if you just went back, I believe this could be very beneficial just make sure you are fully aware of all avenues that this could take a person on-as we are not all the same!

I wouldn't recommend working out since you're not getting all the nutrients. The lemonade will get you through the day though just don't overdue yourself. I experienced headaches and I felt weak but that's part of the detox. Yoga or walking might help if you wanna work out.

I make it for the whole day. In one “gallon of water” mix; 10 oz Fresh squeezed Lemon 1 cup Real Vermont Maple Syrup 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper This is an excellent way to jump start your cleanse your body and prepare for your diet to begin! I’ve been on it for 4 days and have lost a total of 6 lbs so far. My average is 11-16 lbs in 10 days, but have lost over 20 twice. I also eat very clean when I start eating again, this is really important, don’t “celebrate your weight loss” and eat a bunch of junk! Good luck everyone and here’s to a healthier new you!

You can drink it hot or cold, you just need to use the hot water to make it so that the salt dissolves. Good luck!

I’ve done this fast several times, but for 5 days only. On the 6th day I ease back into solid food with salad and juicing. Always had great results. I use it as a detox and kickstart into a healthier eating pattern. Starting tomorrow. Wish me luck!

My younger sister (now 67 yrs old) has used this Master Cleanse several times over the past 10 years for 14 days at a time. She says the thing that helps her (especially at the beginning) when she wants to "eat something"--she puts a little of the pulp in the mix and chews on that. Since she does the saltwater flush, Smooth Move tea with it...it doesn't seem to affect the cleanse and wt loss. The body really does adjust to no food after about the 3rd day. And definitely NEVER go right back to a regular diet, especially a meat diet. It can be very dangerous.) I am thin, so I have never used it for weight loss, but instead have increased the amount of maple syrup by 1/4 to 1/2 and used the extra calories to maintain my 95-100 lbs. WISH it helped me GAIN weight!
