Lemon Whipped Fruit Dip

February 27, 2017 by Jessica Cross Leave a Comment

Whip up this quick, light, and lemony fruit dip for a delicious after school treat or snack time! Only four ingredients and a couple minutes is all you need to make this Lemon Whipped Fruit Dip recipe.

Lemon whipped fruit dip: A light, lemony whipped fruit dip that is only 4 ingredeints!

Is anyone else ready for summer and warmer weather? I know my kids are. My son tells me everyday that all these cold days are making him tired and they put him in a bad mood. He’s also the same one that comes home starving from school! He runs right into the kitchen after getting off the bus and starts eating away. I always try to have something ready for him and since he loves fruit, I will usually make some sort of fruit dip.

4-Ingredient Lemon Whipped Fruit Dip

My favorite way to make a quick fruit dip is just whipped cream and a container of yogurt. With so many different flavors and varieties of yogurt, the options are endless for combinations. The texture of this fruit dip is so light, creamy, and fresh tasting with a hint of lemon. Plus, it has a healthy dose of protein from the Greek yogurt.

With 4 kids I know how hard it can be to get them to eat fruits and vegetables. If my kids have something to dip their fruit or veggies in, they eat so much more. Pair this lemon whipped fruit dip with your favorite fruits or whatever fruit is in season. We go through kiwi like crazy at my house so kiwi is a must on any fruit tray. I personally love the strawberries and raspberries.

Whip up this quick, easy, four-ingredient fruit dip and the light lemony flavor will make you wish for summer and the sunshine, which is never a bad thing when it’s been freezing outside for weeks at a time. Feel free to get creative with this recipe. We also love the whipped cream mixed with raspberry yogurt with some lemon juice for a raspberry lemon fruit dip. If you prefer to not add the extra sugar with the powdered sugar, then just simply leave it out. I, personally, love the slight sweetness it brings to the dip.

Lemon Whipped Fruit Dip

Yield: about 2 cups fruit dip

Lemon Whipped Fruit Dip

Lemon Whipped Fruit Dip is so light, fluffy, and full of delicious lemony flavor! Pair with your favorite fruits and watch it disappear.

Ingredients

  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped cream, thawed
  • 1 container (5 oz) lemon Greek yogurt
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the whipped cream, yogurt, and lemon juice. Whisk together until mixture is smooth, light, and everything is combined.
  2. Add in the powdered sugar and stir until combined.
  3. Serve with your favorite fruits.

Notes

Home Chef Tip: To get all the juice from the lemon, simply roll it on the counter, while placing gentle pressure on it with the palm of your hand. This helps release all the juice inside the lemon. For extra lemon flavor, use a citrus zester and zest some of the lemon into your mixture.

This dip is perfect to make ahead of time too. Just mix it up and store it, covered, in the refrigerator until you're ready to use it.
