Who knew grain-free dog treat recipe would be searched over 8,000,000 times on Google? I mean, we love our dogs so it makes a ton of sense. These are the tried-and-true dog treats I use for my rescue pup, Gilligan. He is on a grain-free diet that’s organic, raw, and epilepsy approved. I hope your pup loves these Grain-Free Sweet Potato Dog Treats just as much!

The Best Grain-Free Dog Treat Recipe

As we all know, pets rule the world. Why else would we let them sleep in our beds, make them custom organic meals, and rub their bellies on demand? Something I am constantly educating my 1:1 nutrition clients and Instagram community on is the importance of healthy dog food and treats. A lot of times we can forget that their bellies are just as sensitive (if not more so) than ours. This means they need delicious and healthy treats to fuel their days.

No matter what size or breed, these Grain-Free Chicken and Sweet Potato Bites are perfect for your pup. They’re made with 4 simple organic ingredients that even you and your kids could snack on. Yep, they’re human grade because they deserve to eat just as healthy as us.

Grain-Free Chicken and Sweet Potato Bites, let’s go!

These grain-free dog treats are perfect for road trips, training, or just because you love your pup. Plus, you can make them with simple ingredients you likely have hanging around the house.

Most organic and grain-free dog treats I have found go for $12 for a 6 ounce bag. WHAT?! That’s craziness. Instead, you can make these for much cheaper without any concern about questionable ingredients. Best of all, you can put the mixing bowl on the ground for your pup to lick. Who doesn’t love to lick the spoon (or the bowl!)?

  • 10 oz organic chicken

  1. Blend the first three ingredients (chicken, sweet potato, and eggs).

  3. Cover your counter top with (grain-free) flour.
  4. Pour the mixture onto the counter and knead until it's well formed.

Home Chef Tip: You can swap out the chicken for organic turkey meat for a different flavor for your pup the next time you make these.
