Enjoy a romantic dinner for two with this Pan-Seared Ribeye Steak with Creamy Gorgonzola Sauce. This savory steak with creamy cheese sauce will bring out the romance in any date night at home.
My husband and I don’t get to go to restaurants alone much at this time of our lives. We have two smalls kids, and it would be easy to ignore romance. Eating in a fancy steakhouse while cutting up chicken for a preschooler, well, it isn’t that romantic.
We still try to do something special for one another when we can. Creating a delicious meal and hosting a date night in allows us to sit down after the kids are in bed. We enjoy a glass of wine and we talk, just the two of us.

Check out this recipe. It has been perfectly portioned for your dinner for two. Don’t forget the wine! This Pan-Seared Ribeye with Creamy Gorgonzola Sauce pairs nicely with a Cabernet Sauvignon.
Let’s talk about pan searing. It will keep the juices inside your steak while allowing the meat to cook to perfection. This recipe came out tender and full of flavor.
Some simple and delicious side dishes to add are mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, or broccoli.
Wanna talk about Gorgonzola? Yes, please!
It is one of the world’s oldest of the blue-veined cheeses. Gorgonzola comes from Italy and has such a richness. If you have never had Gorgonzola Sauce, you must try it. It’s sharp and salty, and on a tasty steak, it is a wonderful balance.
The first time I ever tasted a similar sauce, it was at a barbecue at my sister’s home. She and her husband are the masters of the BBQ. They grill steaks, pizza, chicken, and everything is cooked to perfection. Her Gorgonzola sauce is slowly cooked over a long period of time. After the first time we tasted it, my husband started asking to make our own.
