½ cup leftover pork roast, shredded (alternately, you can add a leftover pork chop or 4 slices of bacon)
½ cup low sodium chicken broth
2 tbsp butter
pepper, to taste, optional
Instructions
Place all ingredients in slow cooker.
Cover and simmer on low for 4 hours.
Serve as a side dish or in a bowl with your favorite bread on the side.
Notes
If you're in a pinch for time, you can cook this on the stove top using canned no salt added green beans and potatoes. Add all of the ingredients and simmer on the stove top for approximately ½ hour.
