Looking for a refreshing holiday drink? Grab a copper mug and make this amazing Cranberry Orange Moscow Mule! Zesty, fresh, and delicious; this cocktail is exactly what your party needs.
I feel like the Moscow Mule is having a resurgence. Lately, I’ve been seeing frosted copper mugs just about everywhere! I decided to dress one up for the coming holidays which is how this Cranberry Orange Moscow Mule recipe came to be. It’s super refreshing and if you’re a fan of citrus and ginger, this is the drink for you!
Cranberry Orange Moscow Mule
For this recipe, be sure to use ginger beer, not ginger ale! Ginger beer has a much stronger ginger flavor that really adds that holiday feel to this drink. Ginger beer is non-alcoholic, however, there are alcoholic ginger beers on the market that you can use to add a little more kick if you’d like. I used a Jamaican ginger beer that is made with ginger and pineapple, which I love.
The main alcohol in a Moscow Mule is exactly what’d you expect for a Russian-named drink, vodka! Nothing like a little bit of vodka to warm up your insides! If vodka isn’t your thing, you can also just substitute it for orange juice to make it non-alcoholic. On the other hand, if you want to pump up the flavor, just use orange vodka for a more citrusy flavor!
Now what gives the Moscow Mule its classic look is a frosted copper mug. Copper mugs actually help keep your drink cooler longer! Plus the frosty mug really does give you that deep winter-y feeling. You can grab some off Amazon, however, if you’re throwing a party, grab some mason jars or clear plastic cups (no clean up needed!). Don’t forget to garnish your drink with some frozen cranberries; it adds an additional touch of the holidays to your drink. This is such an easy cocktail to make and your guests will have a new holiday favorite!
