Cranberry Ginger Virgin Spritzers
These tasty, fizzy drinks are typically made with alcohol (which can be included in this recipe), but I’ve chosen to make a holiday version that’s alcohol-free and filled with nutritious ingredients perfect for any holiday celebration!
Speaking of holiday celebrations, I have always loved coming up with delicious beverages to share with friends, family, and readers because who doesn’t love a fun drink in their hand at any celebration or party? Plus, this recipe is made with nutritious ingredients to help you feel good while you enjoy yourself socially too!
Containing spicy and warming ginger, tart and slightly sweet cranberries, no added sugar cranberry juice, pineapple for natural sweetness, carbonated water, and a splash of non-dairy milk, they’re the perfect mix of ingredients for a Christmas or New Year celebration.
Feel free to alter the ingredients if you need to or even use fresh ginger instead of dried ginger. A dash of lemon, lime, or even orange peel would be lovely too!
- 2 cups frozen or fresh cranberries (not dried)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened, pure cranberry juice
- ½ cup frozen pineapple cubes
- ¼ cup of cold water
- 1 tsp ground ginger or a 1x1” of freshly peeled ginger, chopped
- 1/4 cup of non-dairy milk, preferably unsweetened
- ¼ cup carbonated (seltzer) water
- Add all of the ingredients in the order listed to a high-speed blender and blend on low, then progress to high until thoroughly blended and it develops a frosty consistency. Freeze for 10 minutes to set and serve.
Home Chef Tips: If using fresh ginger, keep it fresh for longer periods of time by leaving it in the plastic produce bag you purchase it in from the store. Keep it in your crisper drawer on a low humidity setting where it will keep for up to one month.
