Chicken wings are inarguably the perfect tailgating food, but who wants all of the grease associated with traditionally fried wings? Ditch the deep fryer and grill or bake your wings for a healthier appetizer that’s just as satisfying. If you have trouble getting crispy wings in the oven, or you always burn them on the grill, this handy guide can rectify all of that. Get perfectly healthy, crispy wings every time!
How to Grill Crispy Chicken Wings:
Preheat your grill. Brush your wings with oil to coat. Place wings on the grill over medium heat and cook until thoroughly cooked, flipping a few times during this process, about 25 to 30 minutes. Either add sauce to wings during the last five minutes of grilling for a little extra char or toss the cooked wings in the sauce before serving.
How to Bake Crispy Chicken Wings:
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Place frozen wings in a baking dish and lightly spray with canola spray oil. Remove from oven after 20 minutes, flip, lightly spray the wings on that side with your oil. Return to oven, bake 20 minutes, remove from oven, cover in sauce, and continue baking for another 30 minutes until completely cooked through and crispy.
Now that you know how to get perfectly crisp chicken wings on the grill or in the oven, let’s talk about savory sauces everyone will love!

Combine 1/2 tbsp melted coconut oil, 1 cup peach preserves, 1 tbsp fresh honey, 1 tbsp dark brown sugar, 1 minced chipotle pepper in adobe sauce, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, and 1 tsp dried and chopped onion in a bowl and mix to combine. Use this sauce on your wings and garnish with black pepper, diced green onion, and sesame seeds.
2. Blueberry BBQ Sauce
