In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together butter and peanut butter. Add in brown sugar and white sugar. Beat well.
Add in baking powder, salt, vanilla, and eggs. Beat until well combined.
Gradually add in flour, scraping sides of bowl to incorporate all ingredients.
Spread peanut butter mixture into the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool completely.
Spread strawberry preserves evenly over cooled bars. Sprinkle chopped strawberries evenly over preserves. Cut into bars and serve. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
