While most families may celebrate the season by whipping up some delicious American dishes on the grill, our family adds an Indian flare to ours.
Chicken Tikka Masala Kabobs with Lime Yogurt Sauce
Today, we’re sharing one of our favorite Indian fusion dishes, Chicken Tikka Masala Kabobs with Lime Yogurt Sauce. While your mouth is watering at the very idea of enjoying such a tasty dinner, let me tell you a bit about it.
Chicken Tikka Masala Kabobs with Lime Yogurt Sauce are perfect to grill on a hot day or cook over the stove for a comforting meal. There is little to no prep required. I don’t know about you, but I’m always sold on the idea of a quick meal!
You can serve your kabobs with a side of rice or over a grilled piece of naan. Either way, the rich flavors of cumin, garlic, and lime will make your taste buds leap for joy!
Ingredients
- 3-4 Large Chicken Breasts
- 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 Tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 2 tsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 Cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 Cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 Tbsp Lime Juice
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Milk
Instructions
- If you're planning on using wooden skewers, place them in a bowl of water and let them soak.
- In a medium sized bowl combine all of your ingredients, minus the chicken. Be sure to mix well and then set your yogurt mixture aside.
- Cut your chicken into large bite-sized pieces.
- Coat your chicken in the yogurt mixture. Marinade the chicken for 30 minutes to an hour.
- While your chicken is marinading, mix together the Lime Yogurt Sauce ingredients and let it chill in the fridge.
- After your chicken is done marinading, remove it from the fridge. Begin assembling your Chicken Tikka Masala Kabobs by placing the bite-sized pieces on your skewers.
- Be careful to only place 4-6 on each skewer so they don't get too close together.
- Place your skewers on the grill and cook your chicken through.
- Serve your kabobs over a piece of naan and drizzle your lime yogurt sauce over the top.
Notes
Home Chef Tip: If you want to take your flavors up a notch, marinade your chicken overnight and serve it with a traditional Indian mango picke that you can find at your local Indian grocery store.
